Client Policy Agreement

By booking with Sovee’s Sweets, you agree to the policies below. These guidelines ensure a smooth and professional experience for your event.

Payments & Retainer

After an order is submitted, Sovee’s Sweets will issue an invoice to the client. Clients have 3 days from the invoice date to submit a 25% non-refundable retainer to secure the booking. Bookings are not confirmed until the retainer payment is received through our website. A second 25% payment is due 4 weeks before the event date. The remaining 50% balance is due 1 week before the event date. A $25 late fee applies for every 2 weeks a payment is overdue.

All payments must be made under the same name listed on the order form, unless prior notice is provided to Sovee’s Sweets via email at connect@soveesweets.ca.

If the final balance is not paid 1 week before the event, the booking will be considered terminated, and all payments made are non-refundable.

Cancellations & Refunds

The 25% retainer is non-refundable under all circumstances. If a client cancels with proper notice, all payments excluding the retainer will be refunded. Bookings cannot be cancelled within 6 weeks (1.5 months) of the event date. Same-week cancellations, no-shows, or day-of cancellations are not eligible for refunds.

Rescheduling

Rescheduling requests must be made at least 4 weeks prior to the event date. Rescheduling is subject to availability and not guaranteed. Events cannot be rescheduled within the final 4 weeks before the event.

Changes & Add-Ons

Add-ons or quantity increases may be requested up to 4 weeks before the event. Any approved additions will be reflected in the final balance. Reducing quantities after booking is not permitted.

Set-Up & Venue Requirements

The venue/hall must provide all tables required for setup. The venue must provide access to loading docks and elevators (where applicable) during setup and teardown. Clients must ensure free or reserved parking, sufficient setup space, and timely access.

If parking is not free, the client is responsible for covering all parking costs incurred by Sovee’s Sweets.

Once setup is complete, Sovee’s Sweets is not responsible for dropped items, guest interference, heat, wind, or accidental damage. Any damage to display items, stands, props, acrylics, florals, or décor will be charged at full replacement value.

Plates & Serving Materials

All desserts are handheld. Plates and cutlery are not provided by Sovee’s Sweets. If plates are required, clients must request them directly from the venue.

Photography & Social Media

Sovee’s Sweets photographs dessert tables for portfolio and promotional use. Guests may appear in the background unintentionally. If you do not want guests photographed, you must notify us before the event.

Allergies & Dietary Information

All products are 100% halal. Desserts may contain or come into contact with nuts, gluten, dairy, soy, or other allergens.

Clients must inform Sovee’s Sweets in advance of any nut allergies or severe dietary restrictions. Clients are responsible for informing their guests of allergens. Sovee’s Sweets is not responsible for allergic reactions or undisclosed dietary needs.

Travel, Parking & Transportation

Travel is included within 30 km of our home base. Events located more than 30 km outside our home base will incur a $50 transportation fee. Clients must ensure required venue access during setup and teardown.

Portion Estimates

Serving ranges are estimates based on typical consumption. Sovee’s Sweets is not responsible for shortages if guests consume more than expected.
